CHICAGO —A man Tasered by police in their attempt to break up a fight early Sunday has been charged with battering first aid personnel who were trying to assist him in the North Side Lake View neighborhood, police said.
Anthony Davis, 32, of the 40100 block of North Albany Avenue, was charged with two counts of aggravated battery to first aid personnel and one count of misdemeanor battery, according to police. The felony charges were approved at 1:34 p.m. Sunday.
About 5 a.m., two men were fighting in the 3500 block of North Halsted Street when police, in an attempt to break up the fight, used a Taser to subdue one man, according to police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro.
