COLUMBIA, Ill. — Members of Columbia Emergency Medical Service and the local police department received awards this month at a city council meeting for their efforts to save two lives.
In addition, ZOLL Medical Corp.’s Jason Fenton presented the first responders with challenge coins, the Republic-Times reported.
Both calls involved treating community members suffering cardiac arrest, and both patients recovered.
