Pa. woman arrested after cracking EMT’s ribs

The woman became ‘extremely combative’ during a medical transport Thursday

FAYETTE COUNTY, Pa. A Fayette County woman was charged with aggravated assault after she allegedly kicked an emergency medical technician, cracking her rib.

Amanda Gabrielle Russo, 26, of Fairchance, also is charged with simple assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and harassment in the incident.

According to state police, Russo became “extremely combative” during a medical transport in the area of Hicks Street on Thursday and kicked the unidentified female EMT.

Russo was arraigned before District Judge Ronald J. Haggerty Jr. and placed in the Fayette County Jail on $15,000 bail.

She faces a preliminary hearing Wednesday before Haggerty.
