OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — The Fellows of the Academy of Emergency Medical Services (FAEMS) ushered in its class of 2019 last week.
The National Association of EMS Physicians (NAEMSP) announced and congratulated 34 new fellows in a press release issued on Oct. 30. This group will join 276 others who were previously awarded the fellowship.
FAEMS honors NAEMSP members who have made special contributions to the association and the EMS medicine subspecialty. The fellowship was established in 2016.
FAEMS designees are required to continue their membership and contribution to NAEMSP, remain board certified in EMS and consistently contribute to the subspecialty of EMS in order to maintain their designation.
International members will be eligible for the fellowship next year. The next application period opens March 2020.
