BOSTON — A tractor-trailer flew off a section of elevated highway on an interstate in Boston after police say it was sideswiped by another driver, and the entire horrific incident was caught on video.
Amazingly, the truck driver survived the crash. The truck went airborne over the guardrail, plunging about 20 feet down onto an exit ramp. The box of the Boston Globe delivery truck was ripped apart like cardboard.
The video, taken from a highway camera, shows traffic on I-93 North. After the collision, the truck cab hit the off ramp head on, with the mangled truck rolling over until it slid to a stop.
