UTICA, N.Y. — Anthony Pagliaro has battled stage three colon cancer for almost a year. Monday, Anthony said he’s cancer free.

After a few months without chemo therapy he says his strength is coming back. He said his fight wasn’t easy, it wasn’t pretty and it came close to breaking his spirit, but he said he couldn’t have done any of it without all the help from people taking the time to care.

Anthony was diagnosed early last year with stage three colon cancer. The American Cancer Society statistics said he was faced with a fifty three percent survival rate. He started months of high dose chemo therapy in march. “Just sat there sayin, I’m done, don’t want to do it anymore. I can’t do this anymore. I don’t feel good. I don’t want to do it anymore,” said Anthony. But he did fight through it.
