CHICAGO — A puppy and dog pulled from a fire in Bucktown Friday were brought “back to life’’ after CPR was performed on both, a Chicago Fire Department spokesman said.

Firefighter Tammy Rodriguez, who pulled the dogs from the 3 p.m. blaze at a home, used specially fitted oxygen masks for pets to perform CPR.

The dog was doing well Friday night, but the puppy was being monitored at an animal hospital. No one else was injured in the blaze.
