DETROIT — An investigation is underway into why it took nearly 20 minutes for an EMS crew to arrive at the home of a man who was struggling to breath.
The family of Robert Poff, 46, are in shock and praying over their loss of him. He died in his home on Cameron Street near 8 Mile Road in Detroit.
Thursday at 5:45 a.m., Robert’s wife Joann saw that her husband seemed to have stopped breathing. A 911 dispatcher was coaching her on giving him CPR. “They said, we hear a faint breathing. It is faint, but we are hearing a faint breathing,” said Joann Poff.
