OMAHA, Neb. — The woman accused of shooting a paramedic in the back of an ambulance while on the way to the hospital says she didn’t do it.
Twenty-four-year-old Justine Dubois addressed the media Thursday from jail. She is in a wheelchair because of a gunshot would to her knee. She says she doesn’t know where the gun came from, and she didn’t shoot the paramedic. She claims the gun went off while the two were struggling.
“I want to set the record straight, because I’m not the one who [expetive] shot him,” Dubois said. “I’m not the one who had a gun. How could I have a gun? Why would I shoot somebody who is trying to help me? And how would I have a gun if I was already in a squad car searched and everything?”
