CHICO, Calif. — Three people were stabbed early Sunday morning during a fight at a large house party on Dayton Road.
The Butte County Sheriff’s Office reported the victims are expected to recover quickly.
Someone called 9-1-1 about 12:10 a.m. Sunday to report the fight with at least three people stabbed or shot at the house on the 1000 block of Dayton Road, according to a Butte County Sheriff’s Office press release.
When deputies and Chico police officers arrived, people started leaving the party, creating a challenge for investigators to identify suspects or witnesses, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
However, the deputies and officers worked together to gather statements and evidence while restoring order.
The Sheriff’s Office is not releasing the names of the victims.
Anyone with information about the stabbing that will assist in the arrest and prosecution of the suspect is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 538-7321. Callers may remain anonymous.
