SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A pedestrian died Saturday after a vehicle crash involving a Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District ambulance and another vehicle, CBS 13 reported.
The agency said the ambulance crew was transporting a patient, who was not hurt in the crash.
Local business owner Sandeep Dhillon was at work in his shop when he heard the collision. He went outside and saw a woman in the street and a man nearby.
“I saw her boyfriend hitting at the ambulance door like, ‘Oh my god you ran over my girl, you killed her she was the love of my life,’” he said.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
