GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY, Mich. — A veteran flight paramedic died Monday in a motorcycle crash.
Up North Live reported that John Mull, a 32-year paramedic veteran, was found unresponsive with an unidentified woman at the scene of the crash.
A passerby was performing CPR on Mull when first responders arrived, and officials believe Mull could have suffered a medical emergency before the crash occurred, but are waiting for results from the medical examiner.
The passenger suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
The crash is currently under investigation.
“John Mull was a flight paramedic who was one of the original crew members of Munson Healthcare’s North Flight EMS, which began operations in 1986,” the North Flight Aero Med Team said in a statement. “Over the years of his career, he saved countless lives and gave us the benefit of his knowledge, creativity, ‘out of the box thinking’ and wonderful sense of humor ... we will miss hearing about John’s latest ‘hot tip': he had a hot tip about everything!”
