ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Two people are dead in Alaska’s largest city after a small plane clipped a building, then crashed on a street and burned.
Anchorage Deputy Fire Chief Michelle Weston says both victims were in a Cessna that crashed Wednesday morning near a small airport.
Weston says the plane took off, banked to the left and clipped a vacant one-story commercial building. Witnesses say it hit the street and burst into flames.
Witness Gabriel Marian describes the crash as a “ball of fire.”
There are no immediate reports of injuries on the ground. The cause of the crash is being investigated.
