MAUMELLE, Ark. — Early Tuesday morning a police cruiser in Maumelle, Ark., collided with an ambulance, injuring the paramedic in the patient care compartment. After the collision, the patient helped to care for the paramedic.
The collision happened near an intersection when the officer turned the cruiser into the Metropolitan Emergency Medical Services (MEMS) ambulance, reported THV11.
THV11 also reported that, “John Swanson with MEMS said one of the paramedics, who was in the back with the patient, has suffered serious injuries.”
A MEMS Facebook page post shared, “We will issue an update on the crew and the incident as soon as possible. Our medic is hospitalized currently, the EMT was released.”
