WASHINGTON — The release of video that shows paramedics fumbling about as they respond to simulated emergencies has D.C.'s fire chief firing back.
“Anyone who’s not able to deliver care has been put in a non-patient care delivery status,” D.C. Fire and EMS Chief Dennis L. Rubin tells WTOP.
“Quite frankly, the folks who didn’t perform well needed recertification, needed to have additional training. That is in the process. I’m sorry that they are embarrassed. I’m sorry the union president is attempting to oddly enough intimidate them in some way, as though we are going to take some action against them. That was never the plan.”
