C4i Introduces Release 6 of Their Award Winning SwitchPlusIP Product

RESTON, VA— C4i, Inc. recently debuted the sixth release of its award winning SwitchplusIPÔ product, complete with newly upgraded features. C4i constantly looks for ways to improve upon their existing products, always affording their customers with the newest technology.

The latest version of the SwitchplusIPÔ product builds upon the personal phonebook and other features introduced earlier this year to provide a radio activity log, integrated voting, remote control of Tait TB8100 radios and enhanced configurability.

“The Activity Log benefits the user and the maintainer—Maintainers can use this information to assist with system fault finding,” said C4i President Brad Kay. “The data can be exported to reports to enable System administrators analyze activity levels over a period of time to assist with staffing.”

Additional benefits of the new improvements include: The radio configuration Function allows reconfiguration of remote radios from a central location; and the Configuration Module enhancements allow the system administrator/maintainer to more easily customize the system to meet the specific needs of his/her users, and to provide a tailored user interface from a COTS product.

“Integrated voting eliminates the need for additional external equipment—saving cost, space and power,” said Kay. “By providing a voting function through software, a greater degree of flexibility is delivered, so that voting groups can be re-configured without re-wiring.”

C4i’s inspiration for these recent upgrades came directly from their customers: The TAIT TB81000 support was added to meet the specific requirements of a port authority customer that is using those radios; while the Radio Activity function and the enhanced configurability were features added as a result of customer consultation.
