SOUTHERN REGION, Austrailia — The cause of allergies suffered by about 150 South Australian paramedics has still not been determined, nearly seven months after they occurred.
SA Ambulance issued interim blue outfits after staff began suffering itching and rashes, and in one case a life-threatening allergic reaction, to a new batch of green uniforms.
Metropolitan director Keith Driscol says a chemical in the dye has always been suspected, but extensive testing has not been able to pinpoint the exact problem.
