ARLINGTON, Wash. — Officials are investigating an ambulance crash that took place Friday when responders were transporting a patient.
Granite Falls Fire Chief Jim Haverfield said firefighters were transporting a woman to the hospital when the ambulance veered off the road into a water-filled ditch and struck some trees.
The woman was not injured in the crash; two firefighters suffered minor injuries, reported the Herald Net. All three were transported to the hospital.
Arlington Police Chief Jonathan Ventura said he does not believe impairment was a factor in the crash.
The fire department will be conducting an internal investigation regarding the incident.
