NY ambulance struck by car at intersection; 2 hurt

The ambulance was responding to a call when it was struck; the car failed to yield to the ambulance

FAIRPORT, N.Y. — Two people were transported to the hospital after an ambulance and another vehicle collided Thursday evening.

The ambulance was responding to a call when it was struck by a vehicle at an intersection, reported WHEC. Police said the vehicle failed to yield to the ambulance.

An EMT and paramedic on board the ambulance were uninjured, reported WHAM. Two people in the passenger vehicle were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

A second ambulance was dispatched to the call the first ambulance was responding to.

The crash is still under investigation.
