New center to help Mich. ambulance co. care for ambulances

The life-saving fleet travels over 3 million miles a year and requires over 500 oil changes

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A new fleet readiness center will help keep ambulances running and saving lives in Michigan.

WZZM reported that Life EMS celebrated the opening of their Fleet Readiness Center on Thursday. The 10,000 square foot, $1.2 million facility will allow mechanics to better service over 75 vehicles, according to the report.

The life-saving fleet travels over 3 million miles a year and requires over 500 oil changes, WZZM reports.

Life EMS will service all new and old ambulances at the facility before they are sent out to other cities.
