GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — Police arrested a man after he hijacked an ambulance with his 4-year-old child inside.
Bobby Glenn was being transported to the hospital via ambulance for involuntary commitment Tuesday morning when he began attacking EMS providers, reported WSOC. Officials said Glenn climbed into the front of the cab and forced EMTs to drive.
Police were able to stop the ambulance by pulling in front of it on the highway.
One of the EMTs inside the ambulance told WSOC that they were shaken up, but OK.
Glenn was arrested and transported to county jail.
