LAS VEGAS, Nev. — One person was killed and another was injured during a crash in east Las Vegas on Monday morning, involving an ambulance and a scooter, according to police.
The crash happened at 11:54 a.m. at the three-way intersection of Fremont Street, Sahara Avenue and Boulder Highway.
A Las Vegas Metro police spokesman at the scene told FOX5 that the ambulance was traveling west on Sahara with its emergency lights activated. Traffic had stopped at the intersection, but the scooter was using a bicycle lane to get around the traffic. The scooter slammed into the front quarter-panel of the ambulance.
