HOLLY SPRINGS, N.C. — Yellow jackets slowed medics’ response to a vehicle crash Thursday morning.
A man lost control of his car and crashed it into the woods. When the car caught on fire, the 25-year-old man, whose identity has not been released, got out and ran into the woods, WRAL reported.
The man accidentally ran into a yellow jacket nest and was stung. Emergency officials were slowed by the wasps in their effort to help the man, who was later taken to the hospital.
