SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — A Utah firefighter used an aerial ladder to “rescue” his police officer girlfriend from an office meeting — and proposed to her.
Firefighter Kyle Marson climbed up the ladder and greeted Karlin Wichma at the window to ask the big question. Cheers can be heard in video taken at the scene as Wichma says “yes” to him.
Firefighter Marson said that his proposal brings their relationship full circle."We actually met on a call. It was a traffic accident, so I was there to do the medical and she was there to write tickets,” he said.
The couple has not set a date for the wedding, but Firefighter Marson said there would not be anything as extravagant as his proposal. “Oh, I’m done. This is it. I’ve reached my peak,” he said.
