BRONX, NY — A handcuffed Bronx EMT was hit by two Metro-North trains Wednesday hours after he sent a distraught text message to a friend, police said.

Two northbound trains heading to North White Plains ran over William Jenkins, 34, before a crew spotted his mangled body under the second train at6:50 a.m., north of the Mount Vernon West station.

Jenkins’ mother said her son was frustrated over financial woes. “He went through hell and back again,” said Alice Jenkins, 76. “With the energy and everything going up, it was tough to make ends meet.”
