PORT JERVIS, N.Y. — A man was arrested for obstructing an ambulance crew Sunday.
EMTs from Greenville Volunteer Ambulance Corp were assisting a woman with a life-threatening medical emergency in her residence, Mid Hudson News reported.
When one of the EMTs went back to the ambulance to retrieve additional medical supplies, a neighbor, Robert Garreau Sr., 68, accosted the EMT and wouldn’t let him pass.
The two struggled until the EMT was able to evade Garreau and return to the patient, who was then transported to the hospital.
Police arrested Garreau and charged him with obstructing emergency medical services.
