RALEIGH, NC — A North Carolina paramedic, Hunter Crowder, is raising money to save Christmas for a Wake Forest, N.C. family. After getting help for his own financial problems the medic wants to give back to others.
Crowder and his fiancée got the fundraiser idea after Crowder’s grandparents recently gave them money to catch up on overdue bills, reported WNCN.com.
“What my grandparents did for us was just enough to get us back on our feet where we’re not living paycheck to paycheck again,” Crowder said.
To date more than 20 people have contributed to the fundraiser, pledging more than $1,000.
