NEW YORK — EMS providers donned full protective gear while transporting a 5-year-old Bronx boy for Ebola tests.
The boy began displaying Ebola-like symptoms after returning from Guinea with his family, The New York Post reports.
The boy’s travel history and presenting symptoms triggered the city Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to call for the tests.
Several members of the boy’s family are under quarantine. An effort to trace the boy’s contacts is underway.
