MANCHESTER, Conn — A Manchester EMT suffered life-threatening injuries when her motorcycle collided with a car at an intersection, NBC reports.
Carolyn Edwards was transported to Hartford Hospital, where she was listed in critical condition as of Tuesday afternoon, David Skoczulek of Ambulance Service of Manchester told NBC.
The crash occurred Tuesday just before 7 a.m. when Edwards was traveling westbound and collided with a vehicle that was turning onto Vernon Street, according to a press release from police.
The driver of the car was taken to Manchester Memorial Hospital as a precaution.
Police say speed was not a factor in the crash, and none of the drivers were impaired.
