CROWN POINT, Ind. — A woman is facing charges after allegedly snubbing her cigarette out on an EMT who was trying to transport her to the hospital for a possible seizure.

NWI Times reported that Tracey Soltesz was charged with battery and intimidation after police arrived at the scene of a medical call for complaints of assault.

A Tri-Creek Emergency Medical Services EMT told police that he and his partner had responded to a call about a possible seizure, and Soltesz, who was the patient, began arguing with them about her hospital transport.

“I will get a gun and shoot you if you do not take me to Community Hospital,” Soltesz allegedly said after the crew tried to convince her that another hospital would be safer and quicker.

The crew eventually agreed to go to Community Hospital, but said they could not transport her until she put out her cigarette.

Soltesz then allegedly put out the cigarette on the EMT’s chest.

An incident report said that a family member then took Soltesz to the hospital.
