MANCHESTER, N.H. — Bystanders pulled two overdose victims from a burning car and performed CPR before responders took over and administered Narcan, saving their lives.
Manchester Fire and Rescue and AMR responded to find the two unconscious people had been removed from the vehicle, and bystanders were doing CPR. Other civilians on the scene used extinguishers from nearby stores to put out the car fire, Bedford Patch reports.
Responders took over CPR and administered Narcan, which brought both people back to consciousness. They were transported to a nearby hospital. The incident is under investigation.
EMTs also treated a bystander for smoke inhalation.
