Video: “Firefighters make me sick”

Footage of a resident expressing his anger at firefighters show how we all have a bullseye on our back

Statter911 points us to this video of a man saying his local fire department makes him “sick.”

The man records firefighters using an aerial ladder in what appears to be training or testing, while he says “the diesel fumes are blowing in my direction. They’re making me sick! They pull this crap on a regular basis.”

After I said a few choice words myself, I looked at the video again and tried not to shoot the messenger and instead listened to the message.

There’s probably a reason why the company performed its training at the location. In fact, there’s probably a few — although we’ll never know because the videographer never went over to talk with the company.

If there was a discussion, perhaps dialogue would have resolved the issue.

On the other hand, maybe there was discussion earlier, but we won’t know that either.

Bottom line — remember that we leave a huge footprint anywhere we go. Imagining that there is a bullseye painted on your back or on your unit will remind you that you are a target, whether you want to be or not.
