Rebuilding officials to read WTC victims’ names

Family members will be paired with people involved in the redevelopment

NEW YORK — Family members of those killed on Sept. 11 at the World Trade Center will share the podium with people involved in rebuilding the site as they read the victims’ names at this year’s commemoration ceremony.

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and New York Gov. David Paterson described the plans for the ceremony in a letter to victims’ families on Monday.

The letter said that to recognize the progress that has been made in building a World Trade Center memorial, family members would be paired with people involved in the redevelopment, such as architects and construction workers.

The ceremony will take place at Zuccotti Park, just south of the trade center site.
