A small pocket on some pants could lead to a local emergency medical technician pocketing some large cash.
Adam Nelson of Atlantic, who works for Ameristar Casino Hotel, designed the pocket after noticing the need for a simple, reliable way to take notes during his EMT training.
An EMT only since March, Nelson said he felt the notes many emergency workers write on their arms or gloves,which usually become a biohazard, were not doing the job. Many workers simply try to remember the information, which includes vital signs, the name of the patient’s doctor and notes on medical allergies or prescribed medicines.
