IAEMSC leadership summit confirms speakers

Several ranking officials will be attending the Annual EMS Leadership Summit in Washington, DC.

WASHINGTON — The International Association of EMS Chiefs has confirmed that several ranking officials will be attending the Annual EMS Leadership Summit in Washington, DC. A variety of presentations will address the critical issues facing today’s EMS chiefs, including:

  • Richard A. Reed, Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Resilience Policy will discuss ongoing development of national preparedness policy.
  • Gregory Margolis, Robert Wood Johnson Health Care Policy Fellow will provide an inside view of health care reform.
  • Michael Sanderson, Chief of the British Columbia Ambulance Service will discuss the Canadian experience with EMS delivery at the Winter Olympic Games
  • Richard Serino, Deputy Administrator for FEMA and Dr. Gerald Parker, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response will conduct a joint presentation on the value of EMS to community preparedness and response, and methods to enhance the effectiveness of EMS systems.

The IAEMSC Leadership Summit is intended for middle and senior leaders in EMS organizations. The summit includes attendees from across the United States as well as from the international EMS community.
