ATLANTA — Dashcam footage released Wednesday shows a teenager bouncing around in a stolen ambulance in Atlanta.
The boy took the vehicle on July 7 when EMS crews left it running and unlocked while responding to a call outside an apartment building, according to the police.
When the responders returned to where they left their vehicle, they found it missing.
Police say the teen’s joy ride in the ambulance didn’t last long. The video below shows him jumping out of the ambulance while it was still moving. It was later found wrecked in a nearby ditch with the engine running.
Police are looking for the unidentified teen. Grady Hospital spokeswoman Denis Simpson said the paramedic violated hospital policy by leaving the doors of the ambulance unlocked, according to CBS Atlanta.
