NY EMT dies in ambulance crash

Two other responders were also badly injured in the collision

MOOERS, N.Y. — A N.Y. EMT died and two other responders were seriously injured after being involved in an ambulance collision early Tuesday.

EMT Eric Monty of Champlain EMS, was part of a crew transporting a patient at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene according to Times of TI.

The ambulance reportedly drove off the road as it was heading to the hospital.

EMTs Susan Roberts and Peter Coulombe were hospitalized in serious condition, with one of them being transferred to another medical center to be treated for a head injury.

The patient was reported as stable.

The crash is under investigation.
