BARTOW COUNTY, Ga. — A man was arrested after stealing an ambulance and leading police on a chase down a Georgia highway.
Coosa Valley News reported that Scrivani Norman Louis attempted to flee when police tried to pull him over. Police said they had to use spike strips to stop the ambulance. After hitting the spikes, Louis attempted to strike patrol vehicles with the ambulance.
He attempted to flee on foot after the tires deflated; he was quickly arrested.
Louis faces charges of willful obstruction of law enforcement officers, aggravated assault, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer and theft by receiving stolen property.
