DES PLAINES, Ill. — An Illinois man suffered life-threatening injuries after being struck by an ambulance while crossing the street.
According to 2 CBS Chicago, the man, 86, was crossing the street when a LifeLine Ambulance struck him. Police said he was not using the crosswalk when the ambulance hit him, but Des Plaines Police Department Accident Investigation Team is investigating the incident.
The 86-year-old man was transported to the hospital.
