SAVANNAH, Ga. — A man who stole an ambulance and lead police on a vehicular chase was arrested Monday night, reported Fox 28 News.
Jide Frederick-Lloyd, 23, reportedly became belligerent towards hospital staff at Memorial University Medical Center on Monday evening, and was unable to be restrained by security.
In the parking lot, he tried to steal two vehicles before driving away in an ambulance.
Members of the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department pursued him for several blocks, but terminated the chase after learning that Frederick-Lloyd was the only person in the ambulance.
Frederick-Lloyd later abandoned the ambulance and continued his getaway in a stolen silver pickup truck. Police say a vehicle with a matching description was involved in hit-and-run incident, though no injuries were reported.
Frederick-Lloyd was apprehended Monday night at a fast-food restaurant by Savannah-Chatham police.
