MONTGOMERY, Ala. — A 4-month-old has died following a two-vehicle wreck involving an ambulance on Federal Drive.

Montgomery police Capt. Saba Coleman said Israel Barrera, who suffered life-threatening injuries in the wreck, died at the hospital.

The wreck occurred Tuesday about 2:30 p.m. in the 1100 block of Federal Drive. The cause of the wreck is still under investigation, but it involved an ambulance and the 2008 Nissan Altima Barrera was a passenger in.

The ambulance did not have a patient at the time of the wreck, Coleman said Tuesday.
