CENTERVILLE, Mo. — Three people were injured after an ambulance and a fire truck collided Tuesday morning.
The fire truck driven by Fire Chief Lynndel Barnes, 74, from Ellington Volunteer Fire Department, was traveling behind an ambulance driven by EMT Christina Thomas, 38.
MyMoInfo.com reported the fire truck struck the rear of the ambulance, causing it to slide off the road and overturn.
The three people injured were all inside the ambulance.
Thomas and Paramedic Keith Cherry, 44, had minor injuries, while EMT Sarah Martin, 25, had moderate injuries.
Martin was airlifted to a hospital, while Thomas and Cherry were transported to a nearby medical center.
