DEA agent critically injured in crash with Ga. ambulance

The agent, who has not been identified, was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in critical condition

CLAY COUNTY, Ga. — A Drug Enforcement Administration task force agent was critically injured Friday afternoon in a crash with an ambulance in Clayton County, authorities said.

Fire Battalion Chief Laura Richardson told AJC.com the wreck happened just before 1:30 p.m. on Tara Boulevard and Main Street.

The agent, who has not been identified, was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in critical condition, Richardson said. A firefighter in the ambulance was also taken to the hospital, but her injuries are not critical.

The agent’s vehicle was traveling north on Tara Boulevard, and the ambulance was traveling south on the same road, Richardson said.

No other details were available.
