Ambulance crash injures 3 Tenn. medics

The ambulance suddenly veered off the road; the crash is under investigation

SULLIVAN COUNTY, Tenn. — An ambulance crash that injured three medics Saturday is under investigation.

The ambulance wasn’t transporting a patient when it suddenly veered off the road, injuring everyone on board. No other vehicles were involved in the crash, WCYB reported.

Paramedic James Caudill, 45, was driving the ambulance, and paramedic Brian Tankersley, 36, and EMT Samuel McMurry, 21, were passengers.

All of them were taken to the hospital. One of them had life-threatening injuries and was air lifted by helicopter.
