6 Conn. first responders injured when fire truck, ambulance collide

The vehicles were responding to two different calls when the crash occurred

HARTFORD, Conn. — An ambulance and a fire truck responding two different calls crashed into each other Thursday, WFSB reported.

Four responders from the fire truck and two who were in the ambulance were taken to the hospital, police said. All injuries from the crash at the intersection of Collins and Sigourney streets were listed as minor.

The ambulance did not contain a patient, according to FirefighterCloseCalls.com.

An investigation is ongoing.
