CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A crash involving an ambulance and three other vehicles injured three people, including two EMS providers, on Friday night.
The Boone County ambulance involved in the crash also struck a Charleston fire station, according to WCHS. Officials said none of the firefighters in the station were injured.
Charleston police report that the ambulance was on a call with its lights and sirens running, and that the collision occurred after the rig went through a red light. The ambulance was not carrying a patient, officials said.
Boone County EMS said in a statement that the EMS providers’ injuries were minor.
