1 injured after ambulance crashes into NJ home

Video from the scene shows heavy damage to the front of the ambulance

FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, N.J. — An ambulance went off the road in Somerset County early Friday and hit a tree before crashing into a home.

The crash occurred about 6:30 a.m. on Hamilton Street between Chester Street and Pershing Avenue in Franklin Township, according to abc7ny.com. One person was seriously injured in the crash, according to the report.

Video from the scene shows the heavily damaged ambulance against the home.

It was not immediately clear whether the ambulance had been responding to a call or whether there was a patient on board.
