LONDON — A four-year-old boy helped save his mother’s life after he used Siri to call 911 earlier this month.
Police said the boy, named Roman, told dispatchers that his mother was not waking up. Roman used his unconscious mother’s thumbprint to unlock her iPhone and use Siri to call for help, reported FOX.
After getting Roman’s address, dispatchers told him to shake his mother and shout. Responders arrived to the home 13 minutes after the call was placed, and were able to revive Roman’s mother.
“It’s an amazing story and thanks to his quick thinking and by asking Siri for help, this little boy saved his mom’s life and it means she is still here,” Chief Superintendent Ade Adelekan said.
Following the incident, responders emphasized the importance of teaching children how to deal with emergency situations.
