ELYRIA, Ohio — An 18-year-old Ohio boy has died a day after he was thrown from a car just hours before his high school graduation in a crash that killed three other teens.

The Metro Health Medical Center in Cleveland released a statement from Kevin Fox’s family Monday morning saying he’d died. No other information was released. The family expressed gratitude for the community’s support.

A car carrying Fox and four other teenagers went airborne, crashed and flipped onto its roof at a railroad crossing early Sunday. Fox was ejected from the car’s backseat and landed in a ditch. He was flown to the hospital.

Fox and 18-year-old driver Jeffrey Chaya were to graduate from Brunswick High School on Sunday afternoon. Chaya also died.

A 17-year-old girl was injured. Her condition wasn’t available.
