HOT SPRINGS, Ark. — A woman attempted to steal a rig from the ambulance bay of a local hospital but was forced to pull over after an employee emerged from the back.

Robyn Suzanne Baker, 34, was arrested and charged with theft of property over $25,000 after she attempted to steal a Guardian EMS ambulance from CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs Hospital, The Sentinel-Record reported.

Ryan Pate, an employee of Guardian EMS, said he was in the back of the rig cleaning when it suddenly took off. He confronted Baker and said he was forced to physically restrain her while commanding her to stop and pull over.

Garland County Sheriff Cpl. Scott Hinojosa and Sgt. Clayton Green were working off-duty security at the time and were alerted to the theft.

Baker is being held on a $5,000 bond.
